How often should the blades on the Automower be changed?
The blades on Husqvarna Automower and Gardena robotic mowers are three small razor-like blades. They are easily replaced by turning the robotic lawnmower upside down and unscrewing the old blades from the blade disc and then fitting the new blades in reverse order.
Our recommendation is to change the blades every six weeks to ensure the best possible results.
The grass is at its best when the tips are cut off with a fine cut. The tops should not be torn off, which happens if you use dull blades. Changing the blades often will give you a greener, denser and healthier lawn.
It is also easier to remove the blades if you change them often. If changed too infrequently, the screws in the knife disc tend to rust. This can result in the knife not coming off or in the screws stripping. This can result in having to replacing the knife disc.
The blades are easily changed by turning the robotic lawnmower over and unscrewing the old blades from the blade counter. Then the new blades are mounted in the reverse order.
