Replace the ball bearing for the skid plate on the Husqvarna Automower in 6 easy steps
Does your robotic lawnmower make a noise? The ball bearings on the skid plate ensure that the plate spins freely when your robotic lawnmower is working in your garden. They are mounted in a bearing holder onto which the skid plate is then attached. They are exposed to moisture and general wear and tear as the robot cuts the grass. Eventually they start to make noises. This is a sign that the ball bearings should be replaced.

How often should you change them?
There is no exact answer to this question. When you start to hear noise or notice that the skid plate is no longer spinning freely, then it is a sign that you should change the ball bearing. Usually the bearings are changed every two to three seasons.

Replacing the ball bearings for the skid plate is easy and requires no special tools. Below is a step by step guide on how to do it.

Tools you will need: Torx screwdriver T20, Allen wrench size 4.
